The Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Machines hosted an Industry & Student Mixer on Tuesday, September 10, 2019.
The event provided an overview of the broad research areas in IRIM, followed by a speed-networking event: Every five minutes our industry guests took the opportunity to speak to a different student.
Representatives from the robotics and automation industries met talented M.S. and Ph.D. robotics students enrolled in programs in Mechanical, Electrical & Computer, Aerospace, and Biomedical engineering , as well as those enrolled in Computer Science. Additionally, this year attendees had the opportunity to meet undergraduate students in the RoboJackets club. They participate in robotics-related competitions around the world every year. The group as a whole is a mixture of students nearing graduation, mid-career students looking for internship opportunities, and new students hoping to find promising research directions.
